Diagonale Interview
During my time at the film school, we had the task of practising conducting interviews and then filming an interview at the Diagonale. My friend Amelie and I chose the film 33′ 66° by Matteo Sanders. The interview was a lot of fun and gave us a lot of background information about the making of the film.
The director, Matteo Sanders, was born thirty-three years ago and at that time, his father was the same age as he is now. 33′ 66° looks at their personal photo albums from after the war, with a conversation between father and son. They talk about Florence and Lou Reed and meet people who are only found in places of memory. This is a way of exploring the past to understand the present. The short film, which was 16 minutes long, was made in 2023. It was shown at festivals such as Diagonale Austria, DOK.fest Munich and MAKEdox Skopje.
